Cinderella for one night! On September 8, I attended Pesavento Talent 2019, an event created to reward young jewels designers, young talents operating in fields such as art, technology, and sports. And finally, women of value, women of the Vicenza area, who distinguished themselves for their contribution to art, beauty, and protection of the territory.
Pesavento Art Expressions
Pesavento Art Expressions is a brand of jewels, created in 1992 in Vicenza by Marino Pesavento and Chiara Carli. They both wanted to give a twist to the canons of made in Italy, creating innovative and contemporary forms, according to a new idea of luxury, reshaping precious materials into original shapes. Pesavento is appreciated worldwide for its value and identity.
Villa Cordellina Lombardi
The event location was the beautiful Villa Cordellina Lombardi in Montecchio Maggiore (close to Romeo and Juliet’s Castles).
Upon my arrival, the grandeur of the setting amazed me. A dazzling, “silver red carpet“, a transparent marquee tent for the buffet dinner and the runway show, the villa on the background and a great number of photographers, event hostess, and waiters offering wine glasses and finger food.
Villa Cordellina dates back to 1700 and it is inspired to Palladio’s works. Giandomenico Tiepolo is the painter of the exquisite frescoes. The crest of the Cordellina family displays three hearts with linen flowers growing from them. This is due to the fact that the family once produced linen. Quirk fact: at the beginning of 1800, the villa was a silkworm breeding facility. If you want to learn more about the opening days and hours go to prolocoaltemontecchio.it
Cinderella with no prince, but a friend
On this occasion, I decided not to bring my husband Matteo with me, but I rather asked my friend Caterina, who’s a fashion blogger and could appreciate more the event. In the picture below, the two of us with the brand owners, Marino Pesavento and Chiara Carli.
After the buffet dinner, accompanied by live music, we attended the awards ceremony and the fashion show. Some beautiful, international models walked the catwalk wearing unique pieces created by Pesavento for the occasion. Then, the evening continued with singers exhibitions.
A kind homage
I have to thank Pesavento for the invitation and for their kind homage: a lovely parure made of a ring, a bracelet, and earrings. When the girls of the staff told me there was something for me, I was speechless. I’m still a bit bewildered by the evening, the heels and this unique experience.
